we've had a lot of really presenters this summer and I am so excited about this next one we didn't even tell people who this percenter was going to because we knew the expectations were going to be so high so I'm you really for a treat I'm really excited I think we've got just about everything ready that she asked for but she's a little late oh I think there she is, it's so good to see my too late you know we got everything ready for you Erica played out perfectly this is Mom what everybody's house on carry laws horrible I'm driving from the University of Carol Stream call my gosh and everything's here everything is everything okay are you ready though and I heard about this this awesome chemistry, is that what everybody's here for chemistry Donna and I read about this fantastic chemistry, it's just I'm ready to go I got up late today I'm glad about it it's it's it's a fantastic one I'm sure it's a fantastic week an absolutely Rider usually when we're doing Kent Street demonstrations were you know we dress appropriately for the laboratory for the lab I have my shirt off okay that's all I got on my God you know there's a hot outside I'm a little worried but this is a pretty safe overly good though you know two things in the lab obviously you know goggles we'd really like you to wear goggles with that be okay okay but normally we like to put the goggles over our eyes it's a little bit thanks for protecting all the color part of my eye I'm I got my goggles on is it what else what else what where LabCorp LabCorp might help a little bit in terms of shorts I don't know you want me to don't call it is very nice I don't think it matches with my out no no no it doesn't maybe we can get started and we we've got all of the the things that you asked for right here so I think I could come I'll let you know what I do get up a little bit later and so let me just look for my recipe here  you know you should always have the instructions with my shopping list okay it says we need 50.00 grams of sodium carbon bicarbonate 50/50 .00 does that make a difference sometimes Samsonite right by carbonate yeah carbonate is CO3 right 10 grams of sodium bicarbonate Universe correct so far we've got to correctly there any single 3 who is the bicarbonate implies the hydrogen it's a chemical thing Coco could CO3 15 grams sodium bicarbonate  night I didn't I didn't label anything oh wow that's a let me just make sure  rough that's right okay normally we don't taste are chemicals it's so just try to little bit a little bit a little bit okay now okay here's up a waiting thing right turn it on 50 grams tag 150g to my one away at like Anna Wayne diss or something or 50 you're looking for all 50 hey you know what we really don't Google okay but grounds 50g didn't want it in here just better okay now you want in a wedding dish yeah I really wanted to share this chicken with so at this point I don't think it will matter 50/50 g5350 is closed it's okay good I think I'm just a little hungry you do mind if I a little breakfast on no I'm just hungry we never eat in the lab in the lab how you know why I don't want you to eat in the lab I said I want it in the lab no more food is Under The Heading of food too anymore what's up for you I'm tired of the way we don't want all this stuff on the table top snow okay I'm done no more food read my lips no more food chemistry chemistry got a great chemistry, right there can you see the spray can be a problem in the Lego friends no but there could be in somebody else that might be working with flames you know what we know I just want to look up I mean how often are you on yeah not very often and I think it's going to be less than what I've had this may be okay really really good 50 grams of nahco3 that we need 250 250 milliliters personally at at edit let me see I'm just going to write a 250 milliliters of a seat I said I bet it's one of these no no no are you okay are you alright 250 don't smell it you know what okay okay okay that's fine okay now it says I have to heat the acetic acid do okay keep the acetic acid normally well notice had a birthday last week that's really good is normally don't you like to smell matches but I love the smell of matches to do this job look I just left fire okay maybe I should hold it the other way okay can I send an interest expander can you took with no Heating stats on the bottom sea how is my shirt always prepared we have everything that we need to be nice working okay so it's okay okay I got a hold you put the 50 grams of this math cost that's the chemistry thing and then we're going to pour together are you okay I got I got to go to my next class Talking Perry love you this is a difficult job you know I thought we had this wonderful presenter at you can probably tell what we were doing with the safety challenge we sent this out last year as a an email and for teachers in our part of our safety notes and we probably got 100 summon the customer service people were mad at us would you say you would send them everybody's calling to get the laboratory safety challenge safeties obviously very important but sometimes you can use a little reverse psychology with your students you know if you just read off the Roseanne number one number two you know but sometimes if you use the reverse psychology the cheat of showing them what not to do in the lab and I think we probably violated just about every safety rule here that we could obviously keeping it safe but doing the laboratory safety Challenge and I do want to bring back our presenter for just one more Encore to thank her so much so so what coming in soup over Schaumburg High School so thank you so much who has done this for us at a number of conferences and workshops over the years I think this is probably the third of the 4th time I've done it with you and it's always spot it always gets a great laugh safety is serious but that doesn't mean you can't have a little fun in presenting it to the students the laboratory safety challenge stirring soup over thank you
