Medical Terminology, Health Science Theory, & Health Science Practicum
Hi, I'm Brittny Knight and I am starting my first year at Elkhart High School as the School Nurse and Health Science Instructor, but my 3rd year as a high school educator. Before that I taught nursing school at UT Tyler for 2 years and still do currently when I'm needed. I have been an RN for 13 years and have worked in various healthcare areas (Rehab, ICU, Outpatient Clinic, Academia and Psych to name a few).
I hope to bring my experience into the classroom to help students have a greater understanding of this in demand and diverse career field. This year I will be teaching Medical Terminology, Health Science Theory and Health Science Practicum. This year students in practicum will be pursuing CET(EKG) Certification and CCMA Certification.
I have created a google classroom for my students for each class that I teach and this is where most of the information for my class can be found. The google classroom codes can be found in each courses Syllabus, attached below. I look forward to a great school year and if you should have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to me via my email or by calling the high school. My conference time is Monday through Thursday, by appointment, from 3:20pm - 4:21pm.
