PRINAAVTC or Journalism I is an entry level course designed to give students interested in media and or yearbooks an overview of the different types of journalistic writing and knowledge of publications productions.This class will also help with yearbook, and keeping up with the Elkhart TV, slides.Yearbook I, II, IIIStudents will produce a book that captures the moments of the year’s events. The book will be designed and created by students with the support of the yearbook teacher. Students will demonstrate the use of online design tools (eDesign) and elements of design to create a cohesive book that is school and year-specific. Students will works as a team and individually to meet take photographs, write copy, design pages and meet deadlines.
Course Objectives:
1.Students will demonstrate the importance of yearbook design consistency by planning the design of the yearbook.2. The students will recognize types of font and typefaces.3. The student will experiment with placement of design elements to create a yearbook spread that incorporates dominance to catch the reader’s eye4.The student will work with the adviser to plan the coverage and record the history of the year.5.The students will develop a theme for the book that will be reflected throughout.6. The student will write in journalistic feature style, covering all phases of school life.7. The student will record events of the year in a factual, truthful way.8. The student will conduct interviews to gather information for the yearbook.9. The student will write headlines.10.The student will proofread and edit copy before it is submitted to publication.11. The student will gain knowledge in publication design and journalism law.

- Who designed it? When? What else is this designer known for?
- Has the design changed over time? How?
- You must have a picture of the logo on your post. Preferably a picture of the development of a logo through the years.
