Research the college(s) that you are interested in. Two good websites for this are:
The Big Future website has admission information on the colleges. Figure out if the college requires the SAT, the ACT, or if it will accept either.
Some information about each test:
- ACT: 4 subjects: math, science, english, and reading with an optional essay; each subject is scored from 1-36, then they average all the subjects together for your final score
- SAT: 2 subjects: math and english with an optional essay; the math is broken down into two parts: one where you can use a calculator and one where you can't; each subject is scored form 200-800 and the scores are added together
Attached are a math diagnostic for both tests that you can use for practice and to see which math areas you are weak in. You can then use the uWorld website to practice those specific areas.
Are you interested in going into the military instead? I've attached a practice ASVAB test if so.
