Hello, my name is Michele Knorpp. 2023 marks 29 years in nursing (LVN) for me, and this school year is my 7th at Elkhart High School. It is an honor every day that I walk in these doors to work here and instruct the fine students that we have. Our Health Science courses currently consist of Principals of Health Science where the student learns about all aspects of jobs and working in this field. Phlebotomy is a Certification course where the student is Nationally certified to work as a Phlebotomist after passing the certification exam. Medical Terminology is a basic need course to help the student understand, use and comprehend the language used in healthcare. PCT is a course that trains and certifies the student to give personal care and assists the nurse with dressing changes, removal of IVs, giving injections, etc...Medical Assistant trains and certifies the student to work in a medical office. New this year for me to teach is Human Growth and Development. I truly enjoy sharing my experiences along with the course curriculum to help the students along their way in the medical field.
