Welcome to the Counseling website for the Elkhart High School Independent School District. I am Kim Stanaland, counselor for EHS. I am so excited to be able to be a part of the EHS community. I am married with four children and an amazing bonus child. I attended SFA where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies to become a teacher in 2005, and then I finished my Master of Arts to become a school counselor in 2013. I am starting my eleventh year as a school counselor. My goal is to work collaboratively with school staff, students, parents and the community to design a developmental counseling program that includes a guidance curriculum, responsive services, individual planning, and system supports. The primary goal of the counseling department is to support the social, emotional, career and academic growth and development for all students in Elkhart ISD.
