"One’s work may be finished someday, but one’s education, never." –Alexandre Dumas
Now in my twentieth year of teaching, this is my fifth year at Elkhart High School. I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Prior to coming to Elkhart ISD, I taught in the state of Wisconsin and later in the Dallas suburb of Richardson. During my career, I have taught every grade from seventh through seniors, as well as teaching speech and theater. I live outside Elkhart with my husband of 38 years, Michael, and our sweet dog, Bailey. We have two children, David and Meghan, and five beautiful granddaughters. After living most of our lives in major metropolitan areas, we are thoroughly enjoying our place in the country, where I spend my spare time walking through the woods, working in the vegetable garden, and reading historical fiction.
